Patient Care:
"Dr. Erin is a very knowledgeable and compassionate Chiropractor. She takes time to get to know her patients and follows up to see how they are doing. We will gladly make the 1.5 hours trip again." -Constance B.
"Dr. Erin is very skilled, and our girls left happy, comfortable, and a bit sleepy! She has a great manner with the dogs as well, one of our girls was a bit unsure of the whole thing, but Dr. Erin was very patient and did a great job working with her." -Olivia F.
"My dog suffered from skin allergies for a couple of years and we tried everything to get her back on track. Holistic treatments, switching to raw food, limited diet, frequent bathing -- we tried it all. We saw encouraging results for a while but nothing stuck. I read about chiropractic care for dogs and how it could bring relief for allergies so I was all for it. Found Dr. Erin via a link on a dog-focused FB page and made the appointment. Greatest decision I ever made! Dr. Erin is incredibly knowledgeable, provided a caring experience for my Lucy, and most importantly, we are seeing extremely successful results that are ongoing! The chiro care and new diet have helped Lucy so much. She is no longer itchy or smelly or flaky and has her old energy level back. So happy with Dr. Erin and the care we have received. Highly recommend her for your pet." -Linda R.
"I started bringing my 13 yr old labrador in, at first monthy and then increasing his visits as needed as he aged. Dr. O'Connor's adjustments made such a difference in keeping him going in his old, old age until he passed away at 15. Any future pets will be making the trek to Aurora to get adjusted. Thank you Dr. O'C for the great care you took of Wilbur!" -Laura H.
"As part of ongoing treatment for what we thought was seizures but turns out to be idiopathic head tremors, we've been taking our 7 year-old Labrador to Dr. O'Connor for two weeks. His situation is getting much better and he has more spunk and vigor since begging his chiropractic care. It's amazing how both in humans and animals how poor spinal alignment can deteriorate the quality of life. Nigel is very calm through the treatments and is always ready for a nap when we get home, but is always recharged afterwards!

Updated Review: Still five-stars, but for more reasons. About six weeks ago, our Lab Nigel, was diagnosed with a large tumor on his spleen (guy can't catch a break). I e-mailed Dr. O'Connor to tell her he might not make it to his next appointment and explained the diagnosis. Surgery wasn't really an option as it would probably just make him weaker. Her response was pretty great, while not promising anything, she encouraged me to check out changing his diet to a raw meal plan. By raw, yes, I mean uncooked meat, but it's more than that really, it's a whole ground product that includes a bone, connective tissues, etc. It's full of nutrients that dogs were born to eat and help their immune systems. Well, I can report that while not cured, he's still hanging around, chasing around with the neighbors much younger Labradors and back to his happy self. No way I would have thought he'd make today's appointment based on his condition the week after Labor Day. I have little doubt that changing his food is the reason why. We've even changed our little ankle-biter too.

So really my point... from chiropractic care to dietary guidance, Dr. O'Connor is a wealth of information. If you love your pet like a family member, you'll move your hand from the mouse to the phone and make an appointment!" -Shaun S.
"I have been taking my dogs to see Dr. Erin for chiropractic treatments.  Her knowledge and expertise are evident, and my dogs feel so much better after treatments. I so admire kind people in the world like Dr. Erin who help God's creatures who wouldn't normally be able to get relief. And I"m so thankful to have found this place. Also, I appreciate the online scheduling tool and the flexible schedule that the clinic provides." -Renee S.
"Dr Erin was very approachable, she was very comfortable with my yellow lab (Maggie), and the dog responded positively while she was adjusting her.  It was obvious Maggie was feeling better after having her hips re-aligned.  What was interesting was after the hip adjustment, Dr. Erin was performing a stretch on Maggie's back leg to loosen up her hips.  After she performed the stretch, Maggie did it again all by herself without any prompting.  It felt good!!   Since her adjustment, she is getting up off the floor better, taking stairs better and is waging her tail more.  Maggie clearly feels better.  We have one follow-up appt in a week to make sure the adjustments held.  Thanks Dr. Erin!!" -Jim S.
"I've been taking my Weimaraner to Dr. O'Connor for about 2 years now.  I traveled 45 minutes to see her the 1st two appointments and I caught a HUGE break when she announced she would be at a clinic in my area on Mondays (Autumn Green Animal Hospital).  My dog is almost 13 years old and has spondylosis in two vertebrae (not too bad).  The condition causes him discomfort but he rarely lets it slow him down, which is part of the problem - his energy level aggravates the situation but an adjustment with Dr. O'Connor gets everything back into alignment and he's good to go for another few weeks.  The treatments also helped gastrointestinal issues he had for several years. He gets excited when we head to her office, knows exactly which exam room we go to and tries dragging me down the hall to get in the room before the Dr is even ready to see us. I think a lot of people think it's lunacy to bring your dog to a chiropractor but I highly recommend people consider it for their pet.  As other people mentioned, Dr. O'Connor is also very knowledgeable about dietary issues relating to animals." -Sammy M.
"Dr. Erin is great!  She is very friendly, knowledgeable and hands on.  I don't think she has ever met a dog who didn't like her.  I have been taking my older dog to see her for about 2 months now and we are seeing improvement.  There is no cure for my dogs degenerative myelopathy but I believe we can slow down the process.  My dog is moving better and has a spring in her step again.  Dr. Erin is great!  If you love your pets and they are suffering, take them to see Dr. Erin.  She must be doing something right as she books up very quickly!!!  She worth the 45 minute one-way trip." -Loren C.
"I am so thankful we found Dr. O'Connor!  Since my shih-tzu was probably about 2 years old she's had problems with her spine. Only we didn't know it was her spine at the time.  Out of no where, she would have a loss of appetite and get the shakes.  A day, or a week later, she'd be fine.  Then it would happen again.  It would happen every several months or so.  We took her to the emergency vet, and they took an xray.  They didn't see anything wrong.  We were prescribed pills, but nothing stopped her from having these incidents.  Finally, it got so bad where she lost some control over her back legs (keep in mind, she was still very young, only 3 years old at this time), and would often drag them.  She would lose balance easily, and I could tell she wasn't feeling good.  It was horrible to watch.  We brought her to our vet who said we should see a neurologist.  Our vet said she'd probably need surgery, otherwise she might never walk again.  We were devastated, and brought her to see a neurologist.  The neurologist said there was an issue with her spine, which she said was fairly common in dogs like shih-tzus.  She recommended surgery, which was thousands of dollars, would require healing time, and which was not guaranteed to work (like most surgeries).

We decided to try an alternative method, and found a chiropractor who works on animals, Dr. Erin O'Connor.

Dr. O'Connor did some adjustments on my dog, and also helped her balance on a donut (like a bosu ball, but with a hole in the middle).  After just a few sessions, I could tell my dog was back to feeling like her normal, energetic self.  She hasn't had an incident like before since we've been going to Dr. O'Connor, which has been probably about a year now.  I am so amazed and happy at what she was able to do for us.  To go from being told your dog will need expensive surgery or else she may never walk properly again....to having her enjoy life again, worry-free, is simply amazing!  I am absolutely thrilled we were able to go the more affordable, holistic way instead of invasive surgery.

Dr. O'Connor works on many animals (just check out their facebook page!), and it is simply incredible to see how she has effected so many animals positively.  I know she and her husband (a chiropractor who works on humans in the same office-- great concept!) do a lot of charity work too.  It makes me feel good to know I support a business that does that.

We're moving over an hour away soon, and I'm still planning on bringing my dog to Dr. O'Connor.  (We're up to about 3 months between visits now.)  She's simply the best, and for all she's done to improve my dog's health, I can't imagine going elsewhere.

Keep up the great work!!!" -Brittany K.
Hi Dr Erin --

Just wanted to say that when I think of what I am most thankful for this Thanksgiving, I think of you.

I cannot thank you enough for your calm and reassuring demeanor, in addition to the extra time/ care you took to call and email during all those times of crisis — all to help Daisy and me ( and Penelope ) through an excruciatingly difficult 5+ months.  We could not have made it without you.

You were always there for us.  It is testament not just to your skills, but to your big ❤️.  Daisy loves you and trusts you — just as her mom does.  You and your skills are heaven sent to save all of God’s little creatures. You truly love animals— and for that, I am so grateful.

With our sincere thanks for all you do to help us get through —and for bringing Daisy back to us.  We pray the great progress will continue with the help of your magical hands and caring heart.

Carol, Daisy, and Penelope
Dr. O’Connor,

I truly enjoyed your consult. You are so knowledgeable and you have helped my two little girls so much. Your love and concern for animals is so apparent by all you do for them.

I will get the Georgina’s supplements ordered for her and get her started.

Have a wonderful holiday season.

Christine

"Wonderful presentation, Dr. O’Connor! Easy to understand, practical and medically sound. I’m very encouraged with the growing number of animal health professionals promoting raw food diets. I’ve been a proponent for over a decade, and my rescued dogs have been great models of this healthy choice. Most notably my Great Dane, Duchess, who lived to 12 years. Love the photos of your canine companions and their joy at meal time. Thanks again!" -Wendy
